Big Bend to San Antonio

After Big Bend, we had a big driving day ahead of us.  We stopped in Fort Stockton, tried to eat local, but ended up at Subway.  We continued on our way to Junction, Texas. There we found a great city park that allows over night stays.    After some good rest we moved on to Fredericksburg.  A German themed town that is fun but touristy.   We walked around town and eventually found a nice coffee shop to have a cup of joe.    We ended up staying just east of town in a wonderful rest stop, if Texas does one thing right, it's rest stops.    While we were in the area, we toured Lyndon B. Johnson's ranch which was free and very informative.  Two nights in the free rest stop and we headed to San Antonio.
I have a very good friend who has lived many year in S.A., so we were lucky to have many recommendations for activities, restaurants etc.,  but that is for the next post.........
